The company has developed into a group with a structure (to the right): In 2001 development of the new design, the BCP-series, was started and today there are more than 3000 propellers in service. Berg has also developed a new series of Transverse Thrusters, the BTT-series. There has been continuous investment in production since 1999 and today the plant in �–ckerö, Sweden, is designed to be able to produce more than 200 propellers per year, in the size range �˜ 600 - 1200 mm of the hub diameter, with power up to 5000 kW/prop. Berg has also bought the SMP and JW BERG service companies, to better support the requirements of After Sales services. Berg is currently building its facility in Singapore, a production plant where larger propellers and the Transverse Thruster range will be produced .

The BERG Controllable Pitch Propeller – BCP is developed for heavy-duty applications with a pitch setting hydraulic servo cylinder in the hub. The hub lubrication system is a unique oil circulating system with an integrated moisture monitoring system. This is the first hub system in the shipping industry where the moisture content is continually monitored, making it possible to protect the entire propeller system as well as the environment.

The BERG Azimuth Thruster System – BAT is a steerable thruster with a custom made controllable pitch propeller. The thruster unit is available in both L-Drive & Z-Drive configurations and can be powered by an electric motor or a diesel engine.

BERG Transverse Thruster – type BFTT is a fixed pitch propeller type thruster used when shaft speed is variable and ease of reversing is important. The propeller unit with the gear housing can be removed from the tunnel while installed in your ship, making maintenance and service easier and less time-consuming.

Berg Transverse Thruster system – type BTT is a controllable pitch propeller normally used for constant shaft speed. The propeller unit and the gear housing can be removed from the tunnel when installed in your ship making maintenance and service easier and less time-consuming.

The Berg Remote Control System – BRC 800 enables the crew to control and oversee controllable pitch propellers and thrusters for all types of vessels. The unit gives you clear information on all control systems on easy to read graphical displays. The system utilizes the latest microprocessor technology and is specially designed by Berg Propulsion.
