Operating throughout the globe, our emphasis is on cost effective repair, preventative maintenance and conversion work. We pride ourselves for being known as the 24-hour company. From a staff strength of only 10 in 1976, we have now established a total of 500+ employees in our United Kingdom head office, main stations in Dubai and Singapore, offices and repair facilities in Scandinavia, Portugal, Brazil, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan. In recent years Harris Pye has undergone substantial growth and diversified into other activities that are complimentary to our core business. This has been achieved by a combination of internal expansions and acquisition of existing reputable companies. Our expertise now extends into automation, control engineering and ship repair, manufacture of food grade stainless steel galley equipment and outfitting of ships, particularly in the cruise sector. Having established ourselves as leaders in our particular field of expertise, the Harris Pye Group has over the last 10 years, further diversified into the offshore oil industry with specific reference to conversion of trading tankers to FSO and FPSO units.
